Uninstallation

Latest Flash Player has weird noises/only background sounds.

I? installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on my computer (windows xp/32bit/internet explorer 8).? When I try to watch anything,there is a weird noise like the transporter beam from Star Trek,and then it only plays the background noises (loud)--no vocals.? I have uninstalled/reinstalled,changed the settings according to the help page for audio issues.? Nothing helps.? Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
