There are now two possible fixes for the cannot upgrade kernal nand issue.? The latest nand chips may need to use the FIX#2 instead of the FIX#1.
1)? Create an uberoid rom micro sd card as you normally would.
2)? Since most users with these issues probably do not have a backup of? their original env_uboot file,so choosing a correct option in the changer will still be somewhat of trial and error.
3)? Format your sd card using fat32 full format
4)? Download the uberoid rom to you pc and using 7-zip? extract the rom to a location on your hard drive
5)? navigate to the folder where you extracted the rom too
6)? run changer.bat
7)? choose the selection that best fits your table model #
8)? if the changer ask to format the sd card answer no? ?(you have already done it I hope)
9) if the changer asks to copy to sd card? answer yes
10)? Download the following file at :
FIX#1 http://www.4shared.com/file/obPwUPVj/uzImage.html? ? ? OR
FIX#2 http://www.4shared.com/file/hCrsXM3v/uzImage.html 10b. copy this download file to:? ? ? ? /firmwareinstall? folder on the sd card.? Windows should prompt for overwrite? answer yes 11)? Safely remove the sd card from the pc and flash as normal. Again allow 15 minutes for first boot after flash and selecting proper option will still be a trial and error. But this should overcome the cannot upgrade kernal nand.? Should you need to use another option in the changer you will need to repeat step 10b after the new sd card is created .. FIX#1 was provided by user db8200? who obtained an updated rom from his seller.? He discovered? differences in two files,? ? the u-boot.bin? and uzimage.bin.? Please pass on your thanks to db8200 FIX#2 was provided by user njkane1979 who obtained an updted rom from hisseller.? We need some additional testers with this new generation of nand flashes to see if the issue is resolved .. Pass on your THANKS to user njkane1979 .. This fix was verified by user Perfekt who successfully updated his tab that was also experiencing the cannot update kernal nand error.? I am pleased to report he now has a fully functional tab. Please pass on your Thanks to Perfekt.
